Yesterday Michael and I looked through the pictures on our computer and we started talking about all the things we have done together. Unfortunately we have been horrible at recording those things so we have a tendancy to FORGET all the fun we have. So in an effort to be better about recording what we do I'm going to do a series of posts that will aid as a reminder of all the fun we've had this summer and all the projects we have completed.
One thing our summer has been filled with is GAMES. And I'm not talking about our usual board games, but rather, lawn games. First Michael made a Lawn Golf game. He had been looking at them online for quite some time and just decided that he could make one better and cheaper. So he did. This game was a BIG family hit! The point of the game is to throw the golf balls toward the PVC pipe tower and hopefully get it to land on a rung. You need to get 21 points before your opponent does. We have had a lot of fun with it.
White = negative 1 point
Red = negative 2 points
Blue = 1 point
Yellow = 2 points
Green = 3 points
Black = 4 points
And I'm so good at this game that the first time we played I got to NEGATIVE 21 before Michael got to Positive 21!
Next came Bocce Ball. If you don't know what that is the best way to describe it is sort of like bowling. Or maybe not...anyway...its fun, you should play. Michael researched Bocce sets online for days and then finally decided on one. He was just like a kid in a candy shop when we brought it home. He wanted to play right away. Since it was pitch black outside we decided we would gently roll the balls inside the house to play. (note: if you have ever played Bocce you know that the balls are heavy, really heavy, and not really meant to be an indoor game.) That didn't last long so since then we have played each other in the common area at our complex, up in the canyon, with some friends, with Makayla, and with the rest of my family. This one was a hit too. And as a side note, I just might add that Michael hasn't beaten me yet! I like this game!
Oh and let's not forget the fact that we have been, and still are, anxiously anticipating the start of our favorite "GAME". Yes, yes, that count down has been up on our wall when it was still 40 days away. We finally made it to single digits. We can't wait. Michael comes home from work everyday and fills me in on the latest news. Today it was the starting quarterback.
And just for the sake of documenting...here is a picture of my growing belly. This was at 29 weeks. I'm 32 today, only 8 more. I can't believe it. Our little guy will be here before we know it.
