So for the good things... Michael was invited to teach seminary this semester!
He is teaching one 9th grade class in Payson at Mt. Nebo Jr. High. Except for a few rough days at the start of the semester (where the students were testing him out) he is enjoying every minute. One student even gave him peanut m&m's after class one day! (I knew the students would love him.)
Teaching is going well for me. I can't believe I only have 4 more months until I am done with my FIRST year of teaching! It has been a hard year, but I already can't wait to start over again and do all of the things I messed up on a litte better the next time around. But oh man that SUMMER break is looking pretty good right now.
Speaking of SUMMER our weather has been crazy! It snowed flakes the size of grapes Sunday morning and then rained all day after that. There is nothing worse than rain on top of snow. Especially when it freezes in the middle of the night! Luckily it snowed last night so when I drove to work this morning all of the trees were dusted with snow. That is one of my favorite things about winter. Snow covered trees! Now for a funny story that happened a while ago. So I have heard of "not microwave safe" and "not dishwasher safe" but I have never heard of "not refrigerator safe"! And yet, I woke up one morning, opened the fridge to get some milk for my cereal and this is what I found...
Yes, the mixing bowl cracked in the refrigerator. And without thinking we put a smaller matching bowl into the fridge a few days later and ended up with the same result!

I've been wondering where you've been. Congratulations Michael on Seminary, that's so exciting! On a different note, we had a plate crack in half after scooping some jello onto it. . . I think some dishes are just really picky:)
oh sad! about the dishes. i hate breaking dishes. i'm glad you guys are doing so well. we're missing you already!
How exciting for Michael to teach seminary. i bet he is just having a blast. Good for you for doing a year of teaching. Yeah its my specialty for breaking things. Just ask my co-workers. Well we hope all is well and we hope to see you at Sam and Liesels reception.
Seminary teacher is a perfect fit for Michael! Those are some lucky 9th graders. Hmm...I've had dishes break when I've put them under cold water while they are steaming hot, but never in the fridge...wierd.
Okay you and your husband get a cute award! Love your wedding pictures. I have one positive that came out of our "math" meeting - You blog! Now you can see the crazy world of the Strong and Martinez families! I am so glad you are at Canyon Crest. Love you tons!
