Long Overdue... Larissa, this ones for YOU
This summer Michael and I have been on so many trips. Since May we have driven to Arizona 3 times and we are now about to make our second trip to Zion National Park, after which, we will go to St. George for my sister's wedding. Wow, what a summer! Good thing gas prices aren't too expensive or anything. Anyway... one of the best things we did this summer was take the "long way" to Mesa in order to stop by Meteor Crater and Winslow Arizona to visit my good friend Larissa. Seeing Larissa in her "ranger outfit", listening to her give the tour guide speech, and visiting the oh so famous Winslow and taking pictures on "The Corner" were ALL worth the extra few hours of driving. Here are some pictures to show just how great the trip was.

Tradition
Michael's family has a few traditions that are really... shall we say... yummy. So when he wanted to carry them on lets just say I was all for it. So heres to family traditions!
Tradition 1 ... Saturday Morning Pancakes
Michael's dad makes pancakes every Saturday morning. Now you might say wow, pancakes, but let me tell you these are not just normal pancakes. (And I would know because I do not even like pancakes!) These are made from scratch, a recipe that Dad Allred has been perfecting for years. And I, a pancake hater, absolutely LOVE them!
Michael and I had our first successful batch of pancakes on Pioneer Day and they were so good. Michael is pretty talented at making creatures with the batter! :)

Tradition 2... Brownie Sunday
Michael's dad makes brownies most Sunday nights for family and friends to enjoy. Again, they are made from scratch and its another perfected recipe. Last Sunday we had some friends over just to say hi after being out of touch with them for so long. (Wedding stuff has kept us busy)

Michael did such a good job cooking and carrying on family tradition. I can't wait for many more years of Saturday morning pancakes and Sunday brownies!
